Who is high school track meet?

What if The Clash, Idles and Depeche Mode had a romantic rendezvous in Sedona and conceived a love child under the stars to the sultry soundtrack of White Pony piercing the tranquil stillness of the cool desert night and then abandoned their newborn to be raised by wolves?

This is the legend of High School Track Meet. A simple yet vast assortment of sound, coming together to create a bespoke musical experience for those that challenge the status quo. Fronted by Andrew Eskesen's (A Day As Wolves, Dead Emperor and Fake Diamonds) addictive vocal melodies and edgy guitars, cascading over the driving bass lines compliments of Jacob Ryan (Wake, Spurn, Fuck You Pigs) and thumping grooves from Mike The Schwartz (Midnight Shine, The Sweets, The Heist) their live show is unpredictable and unprecedented. At any given moment you might find yourself resisting the urge to pull out your phone and document, but you can't because the hazy guitars and oscillating synth tones put you in a hypnotic trance and force your soul to stay present and enjoy the ride. From their gritty breakdowns to their bass-driven grooves, stories that span from a lovers lament to a provocative look at social discourse, High School Track Meet is simply fuelled by life. It's like performance art meets punk rock. Influenced by an uncanny blend of trip-hop, post-punk and the gritty nostalgia of their youth, this genre-bending three-piece reminds us all that we're free as a river to create moments to last a lifetime.
