WHO IS HIGH SCHOOL TRACK MEET?
Emerging from the post punk shadows in Calgary, High School Track Meet blend 80's nostalgia with contemporary emotional angst. The band was created by Andrew Eskesen (Vocals, Guitar) and Jacob Ryan (Bass) later joined by Brandon Staub (Drums) and Connor Glass (Guitar, Synth). Together, the group channels influences like The Cure, Bauhaus, and Depeche Mode to craft a sound that's not only haunting and driving but energizing and emotional.
Their music explores themes of love, frustration, social reflection, and heartbreak all wrapped in pulsing rhythms with shimmering synth textures transporting the listener directly back to the underground 80's punk scenes. Known for their unpredictable, high energy shows, the band turns every performance into an immersive, unforgettable experience with every note played.
